ACLIND w Solution
Actolind® w Solution is a cleansing, irrigation, moisturising, protection and care product with optimized wetting effect for acute, chronic and infected wounds as well as 1st and 2nd degree burns.
Thanks to its enhanced wetting and surface tension decreasing properties, Actolind® w Solution removes contaminants, scabs, necrotic tissues and biofilm layers from wounds effectively by decreasing the surface tension more effectively compared to similar products.
Actolind® w Solution can be applied in combination with Actolind® w Gel.
Actolind® w Solution cleanses wound surface gently while Actolind® w Gel protects and moisturises the wound surface.
Actolind® w Gel forms a protective film layer between the wound surface and the dressing and prevents the adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms on the wound surface mechanically.
Actolind® w Gel is more suitable for wounds where high moisturisation effect is needed or in presence of excessive wound exudate.
Thanks to its enhanced moisturising capacity, rheology and viscosity, Actolind® w Gel stays on the applied area, and provides continuous moisturisation and infection protection.
Minimises the growth of microorganisms at the interface between the wound and the dressing.
Actolind® w Solution facilitates removal of biofilms while Actolind® w Gel prevents the formation of biofilms.
Actolind® w Solution can be heated to body temperature prior to use.
Compatible with all modern wound dressings.
Purified water, Poloxamer and Polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB, 0.1%) and excipients.
Actolind® w Solution should be used for wound surface cleansing and irrigation before any treatment.
Bandages, dressings, pads, etc. such as Aclind® Sterile Gauze Compress, soaked in Actolind® w Solution can be used to clean wounds.
For optimal wound cleansing, it is recommended to wet the infected wound consisting of deep and intensively necrotic tissues, for at least 10-15 min. with a fully wetted compress.
